Happy Friday! I wanted to post the plan for next week so that you can have a chance to work on things in advance.
Monday
Upload the intro paragraph and first body paragraph to turnitin.com by 11 AM.
Watch the Video that I post on Monday on things to look for in editing the first body paragraph.
Edit the person's paper you were assigned by Tuesday at 11 AM
I am looking for each editing round to be leaving comments and answering the questions I have included. Each editing round will be editing the whole draft, including the intro paragraph again. I believe that the more edits you go through, the better it will get overtime.
Tuesday-
Make sure to have the peer edits done by 11 AM.
Spend Tuesday, editing your paper and finishing your second body paragraph.
Wednesday-
Submit to turnitin.com your intro paragraph, 1st body paragraph, and 2nd body paragraph by 11 AM.
Edit the person's paper you were assigned by Thursday at 11 AM.
Thursday-
Make sure to have the peer edits done by 11 AM.
Spend Thursday, editing your paper and finishing your third body paragraph.
Friday-
Submit to turnitin.com your intro paragraph, 1st body paragraph, 2nd body paragraph, and 3rd body paragraph by 11 AM.
Edit the person's paper you were assigned by Monday, April 6th.
I am hoping next week to start doing video sessions with each class period on Microsoft teams. This will give you an opportunity to ask questions. I will let you know the times and how this will work next week.
I have decided not to included the Enlightenment timed writes into your grade. This semester we were going to have many opportunities to have timed writes, which would have allowed for significant growth in this type of skill. Without that time being available this semester, I am not going to factor that into this semester's grade. If you have any questions on this, please let me know and I would be happy to go over it further. We will be practicing these skills in the next few weeks and I will be providing you feedback on them so that this skill is not lost.
As you know, the activities I'm posting here are NOT due or included in the grade. The activities are for maintaining your skills and knowledge. It's recommended you participate in these activities so we can quickly get back to graded work when we return to school. For the few who may not be able to complete this, I will not rely on this as foundational knowledge when we return to school without giving you an opportunity to catch up.
